Game Description

The Midnight Channel is a point & click horror game prototype I made in 2020.

It is inspired by old horror flash games from the early 2000s such as “The House”, where the games mostly consisted of stylistically edited photographs of real environments with moving interactable elements and heavy reliance on atmosphere and scares.

The game is currently in a Proof of Concept stage, with a fully navigable house layout with different view angles and trigger events for audio, as well as interactable items with a description that can also cause events. Some notable events in game are the ambient footsteps when entering certain rooms for the first time and the moving shadow when you touch the photograph item.

Games that inspired it include: The House, Exmortis, and Hotel 626.
