Skills Developed: Working with level designers to create prefab-based rooms for dungeon generation, Making a fun and juicy hand-to-hand combat feel, Using camera perspective and post processing to create a “dollhouse” aesthetic, Designing sound/voice with large transients for fast and punchy sounds and long transients for non-immediate gameplay, Working with the art team to design and implement menus.
Game Description
Gentleman’s Journey was my first team game jam project at the University of Huddersfield.
You take control of the “Gentleman”, a man who has been trapped in a mansion which he must descend deep into to find an ancient amulet that will allow him to escape. His butler is there to guide him throughout with messages from the past.
Brawl the ghoulies that stop your descent and escape the mansion for good!
